John R. Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
John has served as the CEO of CULA since April, 2015. He is a serial CEO having previously led mid-market, San Diego companies in power conversion electronics, computer accessories, building products, and professional services. John has served on a dozen Boards, where he is called on for expertise in market strategy and business development. He has an MBA in Corporate Finance from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
Chief Financial Officer
Jonny Borok has over 25 years of experience as a CFO for primarily San Diego-based, privately held mid-market companies. He has had responsibility for the full range of accounting and finance functions including insurance and tax matters. Jonny is a Big 4 CPA with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting.
Vice President, Operations and Information Technology
Sandy has served as the VP of Operations and Information Technology for CULA since April, 2003. While project manager for WinResources she led the development of CULA’s ‘Seamless’ lease management system. Sandy manages all aspects of credit union and lessee servicing from origination to lease termination. She also oversees all technology, compliance and information security.
Vice President, Residual Risk Management
As VP of Residual Risk Management, Mason oversees residual value setting, risk management and market analytics. Prior to joining CULA, Mason spent three years at Toyota Financial Services in a leadership role within the company’s risk group, managing a $40 billion lease portfolio. He later took an advisory role to marketing, product planning, pricing and incentive groups, promoting residual value best practices. Prior to that, Mason spent nine years at ALG. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
Vice President, Business Development
Mark is the VP of Business Development. Since 2010, until joining the CULA Team, he was an executive coach and consultant in finance technology. Prior to that, he spent nearly 20 years at Autoland, at the time the nation’s largest credit union car buying service, with his final post being President. Since 1986, Mark has been serving credit unions and their members by assisting them with their car buying needs.
Rob serves as Marketing Director at CULA, managing internal and external teams across the company’s marketing and communications initiatives. Rob has also served as VP and general manager at Dynamic Instruments, interim VP marketing and sales at UK International, and director of tactical business development at MSC Software. Rob holds an advanced executive MBA from Claremont Graduate University, an MBA from Ashland University, and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Arizona State University.
